What first-timers wish they'd known

The coasters are intense, but the Florida heat can be tougher

Ride the biggest coasters early

Morning temperatures are cooler and lines are often more manageable. Knock out your priority coasters before the midday heat and afternoon crowds build.

Plan around the heat, not just the rides

Busch Gardens is large and involves a lot of walking between attractions and animal areas. Hydrate often and use indoor exhibits, shows, and shaded areas as built-in breaks.

Afternoon storms can change the plan fast

Tampa Bay thunderstorms can temporarily close outdoor rides with little warning. Use weather delays for food, animal exhibits, shopping, or a rest instead of waiting near a closed coaster.
